NOVEMBER 3, 2025 -- WEEK 80: A TIME TO GROW

Hi everyone!

This is the last full week of my mission! I can't believe it. I've always understood when things are bitter sweet, but wow, this is so bittersweet. In Hungarian, they say one eye is crying while the other is rejoicing, and that's so true.

We had a good week! We knocked a lot of houses, streeted, had English class, all the usuals. This week was especially joyful. We met so many wonderful people out on the streets. We even had one of our referrals pull up to church yesterday! The work is working in Kaposvár.

On November 1st, there was a holiday called All Saints Day. Everyone goes to the cemetery to put candles and flowers on their loved ones graves. Sister Tab and I went for a walk through the cemetery and it was such a special experience. It was so beautiful seeing all of these people going to remember their families. It made me think so much about God and how families are such an important part in His plan. It was so somber. I'll never forget it.

There was a punching machine to see how hard you can punch and I got 759 😎😎😎 !!

This week as we were walking through the belváros (city center) I started to tear up a little. I have spent countless hours trying to share what I know with the Hungarians for 16 months! It's sad to know I'll never be at this stage of life again, but change is so beautiful. In God's plan for us, there is progression. We grow, change and get better.

In Ecclesiastes 3 it talks about this.

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

There are seasons of life, and I am so grateful for this one in mine. The Lord knows what we need to grow, and oh man does He know me. I can't imagine what I would be doing in my life without the knowledge I have of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every good thing in my life had come from my membership in His Church. The testimony I have gained on my mission won't last for a few months after, but for my whole lifetime. Following God and Jesus is not just for a season, but it's a life long pursuit. It takes the seasons in our lives to become true disciples.

I want to say thank you to everyone for your unwavering support over my mission. I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life like you.

See you next week for one last email!
