FEBRUARY 24, 2025 -- A BUDAPEST WEEKEND
Hi everyone!
We had a busy week!
We went finding on the street for about 12 hours this week. Finding, honestly, has become so fun! For those who may not know what that means, Sister Telles and I walk around and stop people walking on the street! We try to share the Gospel with everyone we see! Sometimes it is really hard and discouraging, but it has been so easy this past week!
This last weekend was a Budapest weekend! All the missionaries got to go up to Budapest Friday night for Mission Conference! To get there by 6pm, we had to leave Nyíregyháza at 12:45pm which is a little ridiculous. lol! We rode the train with the Debrecen missionaries and it was fun to be all together! We all did Kézimunka, which is embroidery! I bet all the people on the train thought we were all were goofy for doing that, but it was a good time passer! We got to Budapest and met up with everyone at Tihany tér. We had a pizza party and chatted! After we all got to stay at a boujee hotel in Budapest!
The next morning we went back to Tihány Tér for a special conference with Elder Bednar who is an apostle! We took a big mission picture AND HE SAT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!! so when you see the picture, look for him, then look behind him because it is me! The conference with him was literally so amazing. The spirit was so strong. I don't even know how to explain it, but it was just the best experience. I got to sit by Sister Hansen and she is literally my best friend, I love her!
The next day, we had a whole country conference! We woke up early and hopped on a bus with all the members and drove to Budapest at 6:30am! It was fun being with everyone! Ilona Szablocsi brought us Kézimunka (embroidery) to do! I took a nap and woke up three hours later in Budapest!
It was so special seeing all my favorite people getting off the buses from different cities! I have made life long friends with so many Hungarians. When they would get off the bus it was the happiest moment! I saw all my friends from my first area, Szomabathely, and that was especially special. I haven't seen them for just about six months! I just cried and gave them all hugs. Seeing everyone from all my areas was the best! I have the best mission in the whole world. I saw many more missionary friends and other special people to me! We rode back to the Háza after. It was such a special weekend with all my favorite people.
I have been reflecting lately on how grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church! Jesus Christ is our Savior and through Him, we can be forgiven of everything. I know God has a plan for our happiness and we can learn about this by meeting with the missionaries! I am a missionary in Hungary, but there are missionaries EVERYWHERE in the world! If you would like to learn about the message of happiness the gospel brings, please reach out!
You are all amazing and are very much loved by me!
Have the best week!
