DECEMBER 17, 2024 -- WEEK 34: IN THE HAZA

 Hi everyone!

We are currently on a train and someone is snoring so loud and I'm going just a little crazy!

We are going to Budapest for P-day! Mission Conference is tomorrow so our P-day was changed to Wednesday so that we could all go to Budapest! WE GET TO STAY IN HOTELS -- I'M SO EXCITED!!  I'm excited to see all my mission friends and be with everyone before Christmas!

This was good! First week in Nyíregyháza! We taught a few of our friends and found some on the street! Leaving Pécs was so sad! And leaving Sister Mehrley was SADDER! SISTER MERHRLEY -- I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

The branch had a Christmas party and it was so fun! We watched Olaf's Adventure, in Hungarian of course, and then ate lots of food! I made lots of cookies! I have never felt so welcomed and loved than I do by the Nyíregyháza branch members. They are SO kind and it just feels like I've know them forever! I'm excited to be here and serve them!

I have a new companion, Sister Telles! Her name is Isabella too, so when people ask us what our first names are they are always so surprised when we both say Isabella! I think it's pretty cute!

Christmas time is bittersweet. It's so special to be here as a missionary, but I do miss my family. My first Christmas away from home. BUT, I know I'll always remember this Christmas!!

Our Mission President has invited us to read the Book of Mormon together this transfer as a mission! The other day I was reading in
2 Nephi 4 and I liked these verses.

19 And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted.

20 My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.

21 He hath filled me with his love, even unto the consuming of my flesh.

The healing power of the Atonement is real. Through Jesus Christ, any hurt can be made right! Even when we choose the wrong, God is still there. If we ask for forgiveness, He will forgive us every time. He helps us in our afflictions and gives us the comfort we need to move on. Nothing is impossible with Jesus!

I would like to invite everyone to join my mission and me, and read the whole Book of Mormon by January 21st! Power is in the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true. I have read the whole book and I know without a doubt that it's God word and 100% true. The Book of Mormon will change your life and I promise that if you read it, you will know it's true.

I love you all and I hope you have the bestest week in the whole world!
