OCTOBER 14, 2024 -- WEEK 25: KISPEST!

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been a few weeks since I have written an email! I never believed other missionaries when they said it's hard to write emails sometimes!

I am here in Kispest and my companion is Mehrley Nővér! We've been here for almost four weeks together! This transfer has FLOWN by!

In the month that we have been here, so many crazy things have happened, it's actually so hard to keep track! Mehrley and I are just two peas in a pod! We have lots of fun together! She is one group ahead of me so we are trying our best with Hungarian!

Today for P Day we craved pumpkins and played volleyball and basketball! It was fun to be all together!

Kispest is really great! The ward here is AMAZING! Everyone is so kind to us and it honestly just feels like one big family. I love serving here! And, KISPEST IS LITERALLY THE PROMISE LAND! Mehrley and I have seen so many miracles since we've been here!

One day Mehrley and I were going to teach this cute family! We took the Villamos (streetcar) and it was pouring rain.  As we were waiting to cross the street, a huge car came and splashed us! We got so soaked. We ended up missing our appointment because the address was wrong. We were in some neighborhood and so I just decided to knock on this random house. We didn't think people would answer their doors because it was 6:30 pm (already dark outside) and raining. We heard someone come outside to open up the gate. I told the lady we were missionaries and we left us in right away!! We went into her house and met her husband! They told us they used to meet with missionaries ten years ago, and that they have been looking for missionaries ever since! I asked them if we could share a message with them, and they said that then wasn't good but we could come back in two days! It literally was such a special experience.

Something I learned from that experience is that God does not leave you hanging and that He has a plan. Sometimes hard things happen and it can be hard to know why, but there's always a plan. God doesn't forget about His children!

I really am doing great here! I am so thankful that I am a missionary! There's nothing I'd rather be doing. I know that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing!

I love you all!! Please email me! Have a great week!!
