JULY 29, 2024 -- WEEK 14: SO MANY THINGS

 Hi everyone!

This past week quite literally flew by! It's so hot here! My neck, arms, and face are so tan! I'm so excited for the cooler weather -- oh man!

Today we went to the Hivital which is a government building! I am getting my residency for Hungary! It took about an hour and thirty minutes! They took my picture and I smiled so big and they told me I wasn't allowed to smile!!! Like bro, come on, just let me smile!

We had zone conference last Thursday in Budapest! The Jensen's drove us up and we got caught in traffic! Sister Jensen and I sang the whole soundtrack to Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! Everyone was asking me how I knew all the words and I just said -- you listen to it from when you are little every time you ride in the car to now! I'M THANKFUL FOR MY MOM FOR ALWAYS PLAYING FUN MUSIC IN THE CAR!!

Zone conference was great! I got to see everyone from my MTC district except for Sister Hansen😭 It felt like a big family reunion! Giving everyone hugs and high fives! It was nice to be with all my friends for a few hours!!

I went to my first and probably last Hungarian funeral! The cemetery was honestly, so beautiful. I liked walked around and saw all the headstones.

We had English class and a nice man who attends brings apples every week! I made apple crumble with the apples and it literally was SO good!!

On Friday we went to the Tóth's garden and picked raspberries! It was so fun to be out with the Jensen's and the Elders!

ALSO, I decided to make a Google photos album so YOU GUYS ALL SHOULD JOIN AND SEE ALL MY PICTURES!!

We knocked so much this week and we found four new friends! We taught some lessons and gave out so many Books of Mormon! My Hungarian has improved so much! Talking to people everyday helps so much! I'm understanding more and more every day.

This week in church, Sister Birrell and I, were asked to each give a five minute testimony! I told them branch president I'm not sure if I could speak for five whole minutes but I would try. I definitely speak SO much better than I did a month ago! The gift of tongues is literally real and I know that Heavenly Father is helping me everyday!! Sometimes I feel a little down on myself when it comes to Hungarian, but then I remember that I've literally only been learning for three months! I'm obviously not going to be perfect, but I know that I am trying.

Mosiah 7:33
"But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage."

Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths"

The Lord is literally my strength! I could not be a missionary without the love and support of my Heavenly Father. This week was a little harder than usually and I felt a little down on myself. This week I have felt so much love from those who are around me and I know the Lord gives us literal angels here on earth to support us.

I appreciate when y'all email me and send me sweet messages. It really does not go unnoticed! I love you all but Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you most!!

Make this week AWESOME!!
