JULY 22, 2024 -- WEEK 13: THREE MONTHS A MISSIONARY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER SUSANNA!!
Hi everyone!
This past week was great and went by SO fast! I had my first exchange with Sister Young! She was so sweet and helped me so much with my Hungarian!
We had a district finding day in Zalaegerszeg! We went knocking and the Jensen's came with us! It was fun to be in a new city that hasn't had missionaries in it for a while!
This week I was offered my 1st cigarette! This man stopped us and we talked with him! As we were talking he offered a cigarette to Sister Birrell and I, it was a good segway into teaching him the Word of Wisdom. It makes me kinda sad because literally everyone smokes here, even the little kids. But hey -- we all get to choose for ourselves!
I've almost been here for one month! Time really flies. I'm so thankful to have Sister Birrell as my trainer!! She is so kind and always helps me with literally everything! She's made my transition to serving in the field so easy and fun!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY in two days to my awesome sister, SUSANNA! Hope your birthday is the BEST!
Today for Preparation-Day we went to Sopron did alpine slides! We rode the train up, walked around a lot, did our little activity, and then went to get Gyros! On the train ride home I was falling asleep, I could not keep my eyes open.
I feel like I'm living such a crazy life right now! I'm 19 years old, living on the other side of the earth in Hungary, and talk to people about Jesus Christ! There is nothing I'd rather be doing right now though! I feel so blessed to be a called disciple of Jesus Christ and to be serving in the BEST mission in the world!
We are so blessed! Heavenly Father has really blessed me with an amazing life. I have the best parents, siblings, and friends. Everyday I recognize things that I know Heavenly Father placed on the earth just for me. He is so gracious!!
Alma 26:16
"Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel."
Who can glory too much in the Lord?? Always be thankful for all that you have, because it came from Him! I know we are all children of God and He loves us! We were created in His imagine and He is ALWAYS there for us! Look around you, and feel grateful!
I love you all! Make this week AWESOME!!!
