MAY 29, 2024 -- WEEK SIX

May 29, 2024

Sziasztok!

This past week was very good! I have seen the Lords hand in my life everyday since I have been here! It is weird to think that I have been here for a month! I entered into the MTC 4 weeks ago! It feels like a whole lifetime ago! I really have enjoyed my time here so much! Everyday is so fun! My district is really close and we have so much fun when we are all together!

Something that we have been doing lately is "Recess". For exercise we go across the street from the MTC and play spikeball! I think I have gotten kinda good at it! Its fun playing against everyone! We always end our time outside by rolling down the hill! Its so fun seeing everyone submit and roll down it!

Today at Recess I accidently got a volleyball stuck in a tree. I took my shoe and threw it at the ball thinking that it would get it out BUT MY SHOE GOT STUCK IN THE TREE ON A TREE BRANCH! We got it out but I was lowkey worried for a second!!

Some friends I made at college and EFY are here at the MTC! It is really fun to see a familiar face!

I LOVE SINGING IN THE MTC CHOIR! I think it is just the funnest! Sister Summers and I always manage to get on the big screen while we are singing during devotionals!

Amy was at the MTC last week! While I was in class my sister Amy texted me and said she was in the MTC! I went and saw her and it was so sweet! she brought me chocolate milk! Usually I do not love drinking milk, BYU Creamery chocolate milk is a whole other level LOLOLOL! THANK YOU AMY!

My district and I just learned how to use past tense in Hungarian! There are a whole lotta rules that come with using past tense and I have gotten really confused when I try to speak in past tense! Shoutout to one of my teachers, Sister Jensen, for explaining past tense to me about 100 times!

At the MTC we do SYL, which means Speak Your Language. This upcoming week, during my morning language class our teachers only speak to us in Hungarian and we only speak in Hungarian. When we go to dinner we only speak Hungarian. So in total we are spending 4 hours each day only speaking Hungarian. As the weeks go on we will increase the amount of time! Our last week we will speak Hungarian from 9am to 9pm! It's gonna be hard but will be good practice!!!

Something that is just absolutely crazy to me is that I will be in HUNGARY in less than a month. I have been a little worried about how I will communicate when I am there with the people. Last night we had a devotional with James and Laurel McConkie!! Sister McConkie gave all us missionaries some advice. She talked about the importance of being fearless. She said we should pray for courage when it comes to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We should stop people and because the message that we are sharing as missionaries is the most important thing. A goal that I have is that I want to stop every single person I see and share a message with them. Even if they look busy or are in a hurry. I know that as I put forth the effort to find people, the Lord will put them in my path.

This week I would like to invite all of you to think of someone who you can uplift! Do something for them that can help them out in any way!

I am thinking of you all everyday and I love you!
