MAY 15, 2024 -- WEEK 4: Hogy mondják? (How do you say?)

Hi everyone! This is my second week being here at the MTC! I LOVE it here! A lot of my friends that I have made are leaving this week so that's kinda sad :( . Everyday is kinda the same and when I write in my journal at the end of the day it sometimes is hard to remember what happened earlier that day. ALSO, I have not missed a day of writing in my journal! I want to get into the habit so that I can remember everything on my mission!

TODAY IS P-DAY! This morning we got to go to the Payson Temple to do an Endowment Session! It was very good! I also organized all my clothes and shoes! I hope you are proud of me for that mom!!!

This week, my sweet friend Grady sent me cookies! THANK YOU GRADY!! YOU'RE THE BEST! (see the 1st picture)

The other day we had recess (outside time at the activity fields) and me and almost all of my district rolled down the big hill! THE WEATHER HERE IS WEIRD! It was literally snowing last week and this week it was so hot! It is like Missouri which I like, but Missouri will always be better than Utah. LOLOLOL.

This past week my classes have transitioned from all Preach My Gospel, to all Hungarian language classes. It is very different from English and has been hard to grasp. Our teachers speak 70% Hungarian and 30% English to us. Every night I pray for discernment, understanding, and the gift of tongues. I feel as I ask Heavenly Father for help, I have been understanding my teachers better and better each day.

Even though class can be confusing sometimes, IT IS SO MUCH FUN! I swear we have the best teachers! We have TEST TUESDAY'S where we get tested over 140 words and then whatever else our teachers want to test us over. We played kahoot for test Tuesday and it was SO FUN! They played some suspenseful music and that made it more exciting!

The MTC is just like Thursday at EFY/FSY every single day (if you know you know). The spirit is so strong here and I feel it literally all day everyday.

After we finished our Session at the Temple today, I was sitting in the Celestial Room and was praying and reading my scriptures. I recently have enjoyed reading Doctrine and Covenants chapter 84 so I flipped the book open to that chapter. I got to verse 83 and it says:

D & C 84:83
For your Father, who is in heaven, knoweth that you have need of all these things.

This made me cry. I know that the Lord hears my prayers! He knows that Hungarian is hard for me and He will help me learn it! I felt so much comfort and peace in that moment today and I know that Heavenly Father is mindful of me and knows what I stand in need of!

How have you seen the Lord's hand in your life this week?

I know that as I keep my hand to the plow that I will be able to learn and master Hungarian! I KNOW I CAN!! It's just a little intimidating now! Please keep me in your prayers! I need them!

THREE weeks down, SIX more to go!

I LOVE YOU MOM, DAD -- AND I LOVE YOU SCARLETT
